Editorial standards

PlaPlu's guides are written to help you feel calmer and more informed, never to alarm. Here is how we research, write and check every article, and how to reach us if something is wrong.
Who writes PlaPlu
Our guides are published by the PlaPlu editorial team. That is the small team behind the PlaPlu app, not a group of invented experts. We do not have a doctor on staff, and we never pretend otherwise. Instead of borrowed credentials, we rely on transparency and on established primary sources.
How we research
Every health-related statement is grounded in a recognized primary source, and we link to it so you can read the original. For our English guides we draw on sources such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (healthychildren.org), the CDC, the Cleveland Clinic, the Mayo Clinic and the NHS.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help draft and structure articles, and then a human reviews every article before it is published, checking it for accuracy, tone and usefulness. No article goes live unread. AI speeds up the work; it does not replace the review.
How we keep guides current
We show a publication date and, where relevant, the date an article was last updated. When guidance or evidence changes, we revise the article rather than leaving it outdated. A cared-for archive matters more to us than a large, neglected one.
Medical disclaimer
Our guides offer general information and do not replace individual medical or midwifery advice. If you are worried about your baby, please contact your pediatrician or midwife.
Tell us if something is wrong
If you spot an error or something that reads unclearly, we want to know. Write to us at hello@plaplu.com and we will look into it.
